In early 2018 I was approached by Hamburg based agency UEBERGROUND. After winning the pitch for the LIDL commercial re-branding, we set out to give all international launching LIDL campaigns a unified look. Incorporating the brand colors while keeping a natural contrast is essential to the LIDL look.
I gained a lot of insight on how big retailers work, buy, sell and communicate with their clients. The LIDL films range from high-end Christmas commercials to quickly-produced ad bursts, that are only on air for 24 hours.
In order to to give the people working on those films guidance throughout the whole production process, we created a style guide.
In addition I hosted a workshop in Poznan (Poland) to help the local film studio (which is an associate production studio) to achieve the LIDL look and feel.
